Pen Design

Our summer project is to design a pen that captures the traditions and spirits of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
After a lot of research and drawing out of concepts my initial ideas where to look at what Belfast's' history.
I then did a bit more research and drawings and mapping out of ideas to come to the conclusion that i will base my pen around the sculptures in Belfast. I have decided to do this because i am interested in the art around Belfast. Each sculpture is already capturing the spirit of Belfast because each are based on the ideals and traditions the city has. I am particularly interested in the more abstract sculptures because i think this would make a more interesting pen design.
